INC Publishes Guidelines for Elections

The Secretary of the Ijaw National Congress, Engr. Ebipamowei Wodu has released the Guidelines for the forthcoming elections into offices at the Community, Clan, Chapter and Zonal levels.

The publication highlighted the eligibility criteria to be adopted by the various Electoral Committees. He said only members who have revalidated their membership status and have returned their INC Membership Registration Data form can vote and be voted for.

The Secretary also announced that each candidate must have paid the Congress Membership dues of N3,000 before collecting Nomination Forms from the Electoral Commission (ELECO). He directed all ELECOs to issue Certificate of Return to winners of the election with copies forwarded to the National Executive Council (NEC) of INC. He further directed that the collated list of all elected officials be forwarded to NEC through his office.
