To Build and Strengthen our Philosophical, Ideological, Values and Organizational Foundation and Capacity in their legal particulars in ways that support our national Vision and Mission and Our Struggle to re-emerge as a distinct brand and civilization in Africa as Ijaw People through the mechanisms of Law and Legal Services.

To Purge, Pushback and Constraint the corrupting, crippling and weakening impact of the Nigerian State system on Ijaw people and values and purify and reclaim our originality by deploying law and our arsenals, expertise and services to support the modernization of Ijaw nation within its unique customary structures and cultural experiences.

To develop and strengthen our legal capacity to challenge and confront all constitutional and legal obstacles placed on the path of Ijaw-Nation and its desire for cultural, economic and political autonomy within or without the Nigerian State.
To give legal force and challenge to all social justice equity concerns that Ijaw-Nation and people suffer under Nigeria and amongst ourselves covering;
(i) Human Rights
(ii) Community Rights
(iii) Socio-economics Right
(iv) Environmental Rights Security and (v) Systematic Genocide. (f) Directorate of Finance and Humanitarian.

To make periodic contributions for the advancement and promotion of charitable or benevolent activities for Ijaw people and society.

To promote and encourage the creation of an endowment fund and to raise funds either by borrowing or by fund raising activities within the limits permitted by law for the purpose of carrying out all or any of the objects of IPA.

To provide members with benefits where necessary such as financial assistance and relief in sickness, accident, disablement or distress.
