As Ijaws we have found ourselves under yoke, be it in the Federal Government or State Governments of Akwa Ibom, Rivers, Bayelsa, Edo, Delta and Ondo.

"I have observed extreme poverty and marginalisation, despoliation, degradation and wanton neglect and deprivation of the Ijaw nation by the federal and various state governments and even by our Ijaw sons and daughters who have held government positions both past and present."
