Throughout his tenure in various leadership positions within the Bayelsa State government, Prof. Ayawei has demonstrated exemplary leadership and a deep commitment to the welfare of the people of Bayelsa State. From his tenure as Commissioner for Housing and Rural Development to his leadership as Chairman of the Bayelsa State Housing and Property Development Authority, Prof. Ayawei has consistently shown dedication to driving positive change and progress.
Prof. Ayawei’s academic achievements are equally impressive, having obtained his Bachelor of Education degree in Chemistry from the Rivers State College of Education, Port Harcourt, and subsequently earning a Master of Science in Analytical Chemistry from the University of Port Harcourt. His groundbreaking research in Analytical/Environmental Chemistry culminated in him becoming the first PhD graduate of the Niger Delta University, Amassoma, in 2016.
As a Professor of Analytical Chemistry at the Bayelsa State Medical University (BMU), Prof. Ayawei has contributed significantly to the advancement of education and research in the state. His appointment as SSG further underscores the importance of leveraging expertise from academia to drive socio-economic development and good governance.
